More ease and pleasure in nursing care
Change in the “New world of Working” in the Caritas retirement home Schloss Hall
Work in nursing care is very demanding, physically as well as mentally, and requires both strength and a lot of energy. The Caritas Bad Hall is looking for new ways to reduce the pressures on their employees sustainably. The innovative AUTONOM TALENT ® 3 step method (measure. develop. ensure.) was adopted for this purpose. An objective measurement of the heart rate variability first shows the current situation, an app supports the employees after an individual consultation session followed by the sustainable implementation of exercises during their occupational routines. The success of the project can be felt in the entire establishment. “We can clearly see that individual changes of habits and practice of mindfulness can increase the pleasure of performance and freedom of decision significantly”, says Angelika Krallinger, Home manager. It is astonishing how the individual recommendations based on an objective 24h measure of the heart rate variability with the motivating support of an app can have such a positive influence on well being, cooperation and the working atmosphere. ” My colleagues were amazed and told me how much I have changed”, said one of the participants describing the “side effects” of the recommended interventions she regularly carried out. She experiences globally a more attentive interaction with others, more pleasure and ease, more energy and well-being. And concerning the job: stress and excessive demands seem to be decreasing and on the other hand decisiveness and work satisfaction are increasing.
